Your web host is much like your telephone server, although you have bought telephones you still need someone to turn them on, and that is the same thing a Web Host does.  Now there are a few ways you can go with your Web Host, and one of them is a free host.  One of the free hosts I use is Bizland, and although they are good there are down sides to free hosts. If you choose Bizland, your URL Address would be yourname.bizland.com which is a easy enough address to remember. Bizland offers many features and extras to help promote your web site and help build you business on the internet.

FREE HOST CONS:

#1-Free hosts have the right to advertise the information of their choice at the top of your site.

#2-Free hosts are usually congested and sometimes slower than paid host.

FREE HOST PROS:

#1-No monthly fees.

#2-You are given the opportunity to be part of a large online community. This in and of it's self is a big plus because you have the ablility to interact with the rest of the online community.

Another BIG thing to take into consideration about free hosts is that most free hosts use a 56k connection at the most, however the paid host I use is on a T3 connection which is one of the fastest connections you can find.  I do recommend a paid host for your site, but it is up to you.
